PALO ALTO, CA: Built for virtual desktops and remote office productivity, HP has recently delivered new HP ConvergedSystem 250-HC StoreVirtual (CS 250), a hyper-converged appliance, which not only gets configured in minutes but also provides an easy path for hybrid cloud.

Made for businesses of all sizes, the new CS 250 is developed on HP’s x86 server and virtualization solutions combined with its StoreVirtual SDS technology. The new CS 250 offers flexible infrastructure solutions. It also features advance VMware integration, and supports hybrid-cloud solution architecture.

“There is no one-size-fits-all solution. This is why HP continues to offer flexible and interoperable solutions based on HP StoreVirtual technology to help our customers lower costs independent of the hypervisors and hardware platforms they choose. Hyper-convergence is simply the next step in HP’s evolution of the software-defined data center,” states Manish Goel, Senior VP and GM of HP Storage.

In addition, with the inclusion of 4TB StoreVirtual Storage Appliance (VSA), customers can leverage their existing infrastructure as a replication target at no additional cost, and can tailor the system up to 96 processing cores and 2TB of memory per 4-node appliance. Apart from this, the new HP Helion CloudSystem 9.0 designed on the CS 250, an open, enterprise-grade solution, gives an easy path to the hybrid cloud. The company is also introducing new Software-Defined Storage Design and Integration services to help customers in deploying elastic and scalable cloud storage services.

Moreover, HP is advancing its “Nitro” partner program, launched with Intel to provide a 1TB HP StoreVirtual VSA license to customers, up to distributors worldwide. The focus of the new advancement is equipping resellers with training tools, web content support, and customized demand generation materials.
